- 07:15am: More FREE time of the bus to relax and experience the old way of life in rural Connemara. This tour travels along the shores of Galway bay stopping at Spiddal fishing village. After a 2 hour stop at Kylemore Abbey & gardens. Returning to Galway at 17:45approx with 1 hour free time in Medieval Galway City before boarding the 18:45pm Gobus back to Dublin City.

Lough Corrib - Some 33 miles long it is one of 14 fresh water trout lakes found in Europe. Reputed to have 365 islands comprising of 44000 hectares of wetland . It is considered one of the best fishing lakes in Europe and is home to a variety of fresh water fish including brown trout, pike, perch, and roach. Also attracts salmon and eels from the Atlantic Ocean. |

The Dublin Tours Bus tour travels the scenic R336 coast road along the coast of Galway bay. One can see across the bay the Burren and the Aran islands unfold. Our first stop is in the quaint fishing village of Spiddal often refered to as the 'Gateway to the Gaeltacht' to photo The Burren mountains, Galway Bay & the Aran Islands. Then the tour heads down to the Deserted famine village, an area heavily populated before the Great Famine. Travelling through the Connemara rugged landscape, the stacks of turf, the Connemara ponies and the old thatch cottages begin to unfold. Stopping at Maamcross, the replica of "The Quiet Man cottage" unfolds starring John Wayne was filmed near here. This is also a coffee stop on the tour.
Now the wild beauty of Connemara unfolds as mountains start to rise and there are vast open breath taking spaces in the Maam Valley, a spectacular region that divides up the Maamturk mountains of Connemara. Dropping down into the village of Leenane where the film "The Field" directed by John B. Keane was filmed, Killary Fjord (Ireland's only fjord) unfolds. Here it is visible to see the salmon and mussel pots floating on the surface of the water where the fish are farmed here. The highlight of the tour Kylemore Abbey & Gardens is a guaranteed 2 hour stop where one can absorb the tranquil atmosphere while walking in one of Ireland's most peaceful scenic areas. This is also the lunch stop on the tour.
Returning back to Galway by the Inagh Valley an area of scenic and unsurpassed beauty, the lakes of Inagh which are rich for fishing begin to unfold in amongst the twelve Bens mountains. Travelling back along the main N59 Galway to Clifden road, the tour travels around the banks of Lough Corrib into the village of Cong, arriving back in Galway at 5:45pm approx with 1 hour free time around the Medieval City before boarding the 18:45pm Gobus back to Dublin. A tour that must be taken to see one of the West of Ireland's most scenic regions!

The tour stops at Staundun’s gift & sweater wear shop in Spiddeal for tea/coffee & browse around, Deserted Famine village, Screeb waterfall, Killiary fjord & harbour in Leenane, Kylemore Abbey & gardens, Inagh valley, Replica of Quiet man cottage plus many more places of interest!
- Does the cost of the tour include admission to Kylemore Abbey & gardens? No! However entrance to both places is at a special reduced discount price compliments of Healy Tours. Entrance to Abbey & gardens is €7
- Can you get lunch on the tour? Yes! You can get lunch at Kylemore Abbey
- How long does the tour stop at Kylemore Abbey & gardens? The tour stops for 2hrs approx in high season and for 1hr 15mins approx in low season when gardens are closed. This is also the lunch stop as well.
- Where does the tour start from? The tours start at the Galway Bus Station (next to the Tourist Office) at 10am.
- Does the tours operate daily all year round? Yes, the tour operates daily all year round except Christmas day, St Stephens day & New Years day.
- How do I book a ticket for the tour? There are a number of ways! You can buy on –line at www.healytours.ie to get a 10% discount. Or you can buy your tickets at the Galway Tourist Office or on the coach. Please make sure you look for the Healy Tour bus to avoid confusion. - Can I get picked up at my hotel/guesthouse in Galway on the morning of the tour? Yes we provide a free pick up service if you let us know on the previous evening or the morning of the tour
- Can I join the tour if I live/am travelling from Dublin? Yes! We can arrange to pick you up at the station when the train arrives into Galway. The tour returns to Galway at 5:00pm approx so you can connect with the evening train/bus back to Dublin
- Do I get a discount if I take the Burren & Cliffs of Moher Tour? Yes you get a 10% reduction on the second tour.
